Join us as we celebrate the publication of Nikki McClure’s new picture book, What Will These Hands Make? The original artwork will be up in the Browsers loft space from February 22 through Spring Arts Walk. Nikki will read and sign the book and we’ll celebrate the many familiar Olympia faces and places in the book. We hear rumors of cake as well…

ABOUT THE BOOK:
A picture book that celebrates community and creativity from acclaimed cut-paper artist Nikki McClure

This lyrical picture book from beloved creator Nikki McClure follows a family through one day and muses in the possibilities that one day holds—from enjoying treats at the bakery, to admiring handmade goods from local artisan shops, to observing the new construction in town. Illuminating themes of community, creativity, and collaboration, What Will These Hands Make? dares the reader to dream up everything they can be and all the ways they can leave their little corner of the world better than they found it.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Nikki McClure is a self-taught cut-paper artist and the author-illustrator of many books for children, including In; To Market, To Market; Waiting for High Tide; and Mama, Is It Summer Yet? She lives in Olympia, Washington.
