Meditation has a long and rich history. For centuries, people have turned to meditation as a way of living a healthy and happy life. Now, as our lives become more hectic and busy, a resurgence of interest in meditation is occurring. We all know that our modern lifestyles lack something, but few people realize that meditation will fill in this gap.

We can all find enjoyments and pleasant experiences, but the sense of well-being that comes with a stable sense of happiness and contentment is not a common experience. In this half-day course discover why meditation is just what we all need to find the happiness that eludes us elsewhere.

Gen Kelsang Wangpo, a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Tushita Kadampa Buddhist Center in Tacoma, will give a presentation of why meditation is the answer. He will provide some explanations of meditation, mindfulness, and how to develop a meditation practice.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or experience.
