Capitol Land Trust is thrilled to invite you to MLK Day of service at Randall Preserve! Randall is a small public-access preserve with a walking trail next to Eld Inlet on Mud Bay Road. It is a great place to see eagles, shorebirds, and watch the tide over the mudflats. Recently, we have also had some beaver activity. Capitol Land Trust staff will be there to answer your questions and guide you through our tasks for the day.

Our main goal will be to sheet mulch the 560-foot long trail and the viewpoints with cardboard and wood chips. We want the path to be clear, inviting, and weed-free! After mulching we will be slowing the pace and removing some non-native plants from the property. Tools will be provided, and snacks and hot tea will be available. Please join us for the morning or afternoon shift, or both! (9:30AM – 12:00PM, and 12:30PM – 3:00PM) All are welcome.
