Family Education & Support Services (FESS) welcomes nationally acclaimed Tedx speaker and bestselling author, Liz Murray for “Homeless to Harvard,” where she will share her remarkable story. Murray will uncover the resilience and power each of us has to transform our own life and the lives of others.
At 15, Murray was homeless. The child of drug-addicted parents, she slept in subway stations and ate out of dumpsters, and that could have been her whole story – if it weren’t for mentors. Thanks to a few caring teachers and role models (and her own hard work) Liz is now a Harvard graduate, a New York Times best-selling author, and an advocate for at-risk youth.
