Learn about noxious weeds and how to combat them! Join the Puget Sound Estuarium on March 2nd at 6:30 PM via Facebook Live or Zoom for a discussion about noxious weeds from Heidi Steinbach. Heidi is a Noxious Weed Specialist at the Thurston County Public Works, Noxious Weeds and Lakes Management Division. She’s been a Noxious Weed Specialist with Thurston County for over 2 years and before that a Noxious Weed Control Assistant with Mason County Noxious Weed Control.

Noxious weeds are non-native, invasive plants that threaten public health, the environment, wildlife habitat, native plants, agriculture and recreational areas. For this talk she will be covering identification of noxious weeds found in wetlands and shorelines as they affect our estuaries. Heidi will also discuss how we can make a difference with some general control strategies.
