Centro’s Cajun Throw-down featuring Rodney O’Neill & Joe Hyer will take place as part of Olympia’s Arts Walk on Friday, October 3, 2014, in downtown Olympia at Centro (408 Olympia Avenue NE).

Rodney O’Neal, whose been cooking pretty much his whole life, an expert in BBQ and Southern Cuisine, operator of Barb’s Soul Cuisine and many other restaurants, kiosks and trucks over the years – thinks he’s good at Cajun. Joe Hyer has been a fan of Cajun food since his first visit to New Orleans in 1994. He’s been cooking Cajun for about 15 years – and thinks his cuisine is well worth tasting too.

Competitors, Rodney & Joe, will have approximately an hour to create, from scratch, 3 tasty dishes for our panel of 5 celebrity judges. The theme is Northwest Cajun & Creole.

Our panel of judges will score the dishes in a variety of areas including creativity and taste. The winner gets bragging rights.

Who: Joe and Rodney Cajun Showdown
Where: Centro, 408 Olympia Ave NE, Olympia 98501
