New Yorker Barry Lyga is a comic book geek turned young adult (YA) fiction writer. He has written 14 books in nine years. The books fall into many categories, earning him the title “YA rebel author.” According to the reading web site, “GoodReads, “Lyga’s topics range from the child abuse to pre-teens with superpowers to serial killers. He clearly does not know how to stick to one subject.”

The author will speak about his life as a writer and his many books at the Tumwater Timberland Library from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, September 25.
