Lacey Traffic: Major Road Construction on Carpenter Road Begins August 16

On Monday, August 16, the City of Lacey will begin major road construction on Carpenter Road, between 26th Court SE to just north of the new Carpenter/Mullen Road roundabout. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and is anticipated to last through the end of October. Travelers can expect delays at times during this work. Alternate routes are recommended.

Tentative Schedule: Most of this work is weather-dependent and subject to change. Watch for updates on the City’s website, and Facebook and Twitter accounts. Interested parties can also sign up for project email updates at ci.lacey.wa.us/ProjectUpdates.

Monday, August 16 – Friday, August 20: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Contractors will prepare the project area for grinding and paving. Travelers can expect delays and should allow for extra time when traveling through this area. Alternate routes are recommended.

Monday, August 23 – Friday, September 10: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.; weekdays

Contractors will grind and re-pave the roadway. Travelers can expect delays and should allow for extra time when traveling through this area. Alternate routes are recommended.

Monday, September 13 – end of October: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.; weekdays

Contractors will perform road repairs and minor paving on adjacent streets. Travelers can expect delays and should allow for extra time when traveling through this area. Alternate routes are recommended.
