On Monday August 13 and Tuesday, August 14, the City of Olympia’s contractor will begin pavement preparation work at 7:00 a.m. on Martin Way from Steele Street to College Street. On Wednesday August 15 through Friday, August 17, crews will begin work on Lilly Road from Pacific Avenue to Providence Lane. Crews will work during the night from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
This is a continuation of the work the contractor started on Monday, August 6, which will prepare the roads for chip sealing. Chip sealing will restore the existing pavement and extend the life of the street.
Expect lane restrictions and traffic delays during roadway preparation work. Flaggers will direct motorists and pedestrians through construction areas. Access to driveways may be temporarily disrupted during pavement preparation work.
