South Puget Sound Community College art students are putting their talents on display as the 9th Annual Student Art Exhibition returns to The Gallery at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts. The exhibition begins May 12 and runs through June 13.
SPSCC art faculty select outstanding works created in studio art classes during the 2013-14 school year. The works are as varied as the students themselves, as the exhibition will feature ceramics, drawing, painting, digital photography, printmaking, 2D and 3D design exercises, and sculpture. There will also be a continuous slide show of student art on display.
Additionally, a special reception featuring the student artists will be held on Friday. May 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Gallery.
The Gallery at the Minnaert Center is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., except holidays. For more information about The Gallery, visit www.spscc.edu/gallery.
