What: Andy Coe Band are lead by guitar master Andy Coe, who plays regularly with some of Seattle’s finest jazz and funk musicians to include Skerik (Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade, Skerik’s Bandalabra) and Joe Doria (organ, McTuff). This ensemble pays tribute to the music of Jerry Garcia with enough respect and deftness to pull Deadheads out of the woodworks, while being one of the most prolific and exciting Pacific Northwest jam bands.

What: Alice Stuart and A Few Good Men: Blues guitarist Alice Stuart has received critical acclaim for her recordings, including ‘Freedom’ and ‘can’t find no heaven’ and has toured the US and the UK over her 40-plus year career. Relix magazine called her “an essential American Blueswoman” in 2003 – any fan of blues music will leave satiated.

What: Jazz Jam with Tarik Bentlemsani: Tarik’s skill and creativity on the guitar is something that leaves people in awe time and again. His wizardry is in full effect as lead guitarist of local funk band The Brown Edition, and when he is tucked away in the corner of a café with a 6-string acoustic. Every Thursday he hosts a great evening of jazz at The Pig Bar.

What: Pandit Debi Prasad Chatterjee, sitar master from India, will be joined by a tabla player for this intimate performance. Chatterjee is widely respected for his devotion to music and as a teacher of Indian Classical Music.

What: AndyInOly Presents Hillstomp with The Pine Hearts. Hillstomp is a ‘junkbox blues duo’. They make you move with their foot-stompin’ punkabilly sound. Their unique slide guitar set up and do-it-yourself percussion kit make for a novel stage to peruse with the eyes upon entering the venue, but once the first song hits you feel the power this duo is able to generate. They have been turning out large crowds in Olympia for years and this is sure to be a barnburner.

What: 6th Annual Olympia Record Show, produced by Rainy Day Records. Rainy Day is a special breed; a surviving local record store, and here they bring together all willing music vendors and traders to create “a really great record store dropped into your town for a day.” All formats with a focus on VINYL and all genres of music for every possible listener.

What: Correo Aereo is an award winning multi-instrumental and vocal Latin American duo performing traditional music from Venezuela, Argentina and Mexico. They are lauded for their original compositions, and “…listening to their performance one can unite space and time across cultures,” according to Dr. Juan Tony Guzman, Head of Jazz Dept. at Luther College. Their music is richly polyrhythmic and soulfully melodic, and most of all, it is absolutely beautiful.

What: Chuck Stentz and the Joe Baque Trio. This is great jazz and great food. Saxophone master Chuck Stentz joins local piano legend Joe Baque, the brilliantly lucid Steve Luceno on bass and accomplished conga player Michael Olson. Part of the Late Night Music Series which is dependable for having local jazz greats on hand.

What: Eleanor Murray Tour Homecoming Show, with The Mona Reels, and Woolen Warrior. Eleanor’s original folk music can be both gorgeous and edgy. Her voice is commanding and delicate, she writes prolifically and seems to be on tour often. This will be the 33rd and final performance of her current tour.

What: Luigi LaCross, led by Steve Luceno (string bass, percussion, steel string guitar) is playing original music by all of it’s players – John Croarkin (flutes, sax, harmonica), Drew Gibbs (piano, flute, drums), and Phil Lawson (guitar). They are also performing the works of Brazilian composers Hermeto Pascal and Jovina Santos Neto. Very intriguing ensemble and repertoir.
