SCJ Alliance is pleased to announce the addition of five new team members to their firm. “We’re very excited about the talents our new colleagues bring,” says Jean Carr, LEED AP BD+C.
SCJ’s new employees are: Casey Cochrane, Project Development and Community Relations; Lisa Palazzi, CPSS, PWS, Certified Professional Soil Scientist and Certified Professional Wetland Scientist; Maryam Lynch-Tate, Senior Marketing Coordinator; Dan Ireland, PE, Project Manager; and Joshua Sjoding, IT Specialist.
“We turned seven this year and have been enjoying steady growth in number of employees, as well as expanded offerings for new and existing clients,” says Carr, an SCJ Alliance principal. A nationally recognized, award-winning company, SCJ Alliance was founded in 2006 as Shea Carr Jewell. Since then they have grown from three people in their Olympia, WA headquarters office, to more than 40 people in five locations across three states.
Cochrane has 25 years of experience in government and community relations for a variety of public and private organizations and firms. He spent the last 10 years representing Puget Sound Energy and prior to that was with the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber. High energy, community-engagement and building strategic alliances are just some of Cochrane’s strengths.
Palazzi brings more than 20 year’s expertise in soil science, soil hydrology and wetland science. From soil chemistry and water quality, to wetland delineation, mitigation and monitoring … Palazzi does it all. Her expertise, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills, makes her sought after on private and public development projects and as an expert witness.
Lynch-Tate recently relocated from North Carolina where she supported offices in the country’s southeastern region (NC, SC, TN and GA) as a marketing writer/coordinator. She brings over 19 years of experience in marketing communications, proposal management, presentation development and meeting/special events planning.
Ireland spent over ten years at WA State Department of Transportation, preceded by a position in the Storm and Surface Water Dept. at Thurston County. A Saint Martin’s University alum, Dan brings diverse engineering experience from design through construction, with a respected reputation for priority-setting, communication and leadership.
Sjoding, with more than 20 years’ experience, hails most recently from the WA State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). He brings experience as an IT specialist in both the public and private sectors. On-site or remote, simple or complex, Sjoding provides a full complement of services to both SCJ internally, as well as to SCJ’s clients.
SCJ Alliance has provided the engineering, design, transportation and planning expertise behind many projects in the region. Some of the high visibility projects the firm is currently working on include planned improvements around JBLM spanning five miles and four interchanges, as well as the High Roller, the world’s largest observation wheel which is being built in Las Vegas.
