Joe has worked in banking for more than 30 years, beginning with a small mortgage company in downtown Tacoma in 1979.  In the early 1980s, Joe transitioned to financing all types of real estate including construction of homes, apartments, office, and mixed-use retail spaces.  Later in his career, he added business financing to his resume.  “At Anchor Bank, I utilize my past experiences to assist clients,” says Joe.  A graduate of St. Martin’s University with a degree in accounting, Joe understands financial statements and uses this expertise to get loans closed.

“I fell into banking on accident,” says Kasandra with a laugh.  Originally from Texas, Kasandra has worked in banking for over 10 years, in all areas of operations.    “I use my knowledge of bank operations to help my clients succeed,” says Kasandra who adds that she makes her customer’s goals and objectives part of her own.

Each team member’s knowledge complements the others.  “We share ideas, confer on our ‘customers’ needs, and talk constantly throughout the day,” she adds when describing how they create solutions for customers.

The trio stresses Anchor Bank’s commitment to its customers and its ability to be innovative with lending.  “As a community bank, we can look at every customer individually.  Big banks focus on a company’s past performance.  At Anchor Bank, we can look at your future and recognize your growth prospects,” says Dick.

“Anchor  Bank has money to lend to businesses.  We are here to meet your financial needs, and are available to meet with business owners at their convenience. We look forward to working with them and discussing their financial options,” states Kasandra.

Anchor Bank offers a small commercial loan product, which streamlines the lending process for loans less than $250,000.  “Anchor Bank can help small businesses get the funds they need a lot faster.  Our process moves the loan credit approval review through in about three days,” explains Kasandra.

“Each business has their own unique needs; at Anchor Bank we have the products including the SCL or ‘small commercial loan’ program that we can customize to fit the borrower’s need.   We offer term loans and, lines of credit; we can lend on inventory, accounts receivable or real estate,” explains Joe.

The team, which operates at Anchor Bank’s Lacey location, considers it a bonus to have a branch downstairs.  “Tellers know our customers and call them by name,” describes Kasandra when emphasizing the bank’s local focus.  Anchor Bank, with 13 branches, and has been around for over 100 years.  “We are here to stay,” says Kasandra.

“We do not want to simply make a loan but rather develop a relationship that will last the next 100 years.  The business that you start today will be run by your great grandchildren and we want to still be their bank,” summarizes Dick.
