JASPER AVENUE AND BERRY STREET EMERGENCY ROAD REPAIRS
On Thursday, January 20, 2011, the City of Olympia’s contractor, KBH Construction Company, will start emergency repairs of approximately 240 feet of damaged roadway on Jasper Avenue and Berry Street. The roadway was damaged by a recent waterline break. The work will involve removing the damaged asphalt, rebuilding the roadway and asphalt paving. We expect the work to take approximately 2 weeks to complete. Construction hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Traffic Impacts
- Expect traffic delays since traffic will be down to one lane within the construction area.
- There will be high levels of vibration and noise during this work.
- Motorists should avoid the construction area if possible.
