This zine making workshop explores themes from Window Seat Media’s Community Roots Oral History Project exhibit that will be on display at the library February 8-March 11. Our need for affordable spaces to live, work, and gather is a common thread in the oral history narratives collected for the project, and it continues today as Thurston County continues to experience rising rental and real estate costs.
In this zine-making workshop, participants will work with prompts centered around the importance of access to affordable spaces to create a collaborative zine. All materials will be provided, and no zine-making experience is necessary. Led by local organizer and librarian, Kelsey Smith.
These events are a part of a series of events this winter. Visit https://www.windowseatmedia.org/community-roots to learn more.
