Open House

The LOTT Clean Water Alliance is holding an Open House on Monday, October 26, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to share information about recent and upcoming LOTT projects. Stop by to learn more about the Process Control Improvements project, a large-scale upgrade project for the Budd Inlet Treatment Plant that will improve energy efficiency and refine controls for biological treatment processes. An environmental evaluation has been completed for this project, and LOTT has issued a determination of non-significance which is out for public review, with comments due October 29.

Open house visitors can also learn about LOTT’s Reclaimed Water Infiltration Study, which is designed to identify potential risks from infiltrating reclaimed water into groundwater because of chemicals from medicines and personal care products. Information will also be shared about the new Reclaimed Water Storage Tank in Tumwater and the new Primary Sedimentation Basins at the Budd Inlet Treatment Plant.

The event will be held in LOTT’s WET Science Center, located at 500 Adams Street NE in Olympia. Visitors can enjoy the interactive exhibits in the Center to learn more about LOTT and wastewater treatment. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and light refreshments will be served.
