Anjali and Itamare Brazilian Jazz

Anjali and Itamare are a Brazilian, Latin and Jazz fusion band. Under the leadership of vocalist Anjali Silva, and in collaboration with Pacific NW based musicians Brendon Keenan (guitar), Steve Luceno (bass), and Steven Bentley (drums).

Itamare plays originals and covers of Bossa Nova, Samba, Afro-Brazilian, ChaCha and Rumba, using the jazz medium of arrangement, composition and improvisation. They have performed at Pizzeria La Gitana, The Olympia Farmers Market, Rhythm and Rye, St. Martins Carnival Ball, and most recently at Yelm’s “Jazz in the Park” and at Pacific Lutheran University’s “Jazz Under the Stars” concert series. Joining them on piano will be the delightful David Deacon Joyner!
