Olympia’s Board & Brush is offering a series of four after school workshops on Wednesdays in both April and May designed for students in the Griffin School District. Students 9 years and older can sign up for one or both of the series and spend Wednesday afternoons creating projects from a variety of fun themes. Classes go from 2:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. A teacher will walk students to the nearby location at the end of the school day.

Camps for Kids Near Olympia at Board & Brush

“Kids will do a different project each week,” says Erika Gulliford, Board & Brush manager. You will be pleased and may be surprised at the number of themed projects that are available during the Kid’s Camp sessions. Students can select their own set, regardless of what others in the class choose. You can see photos on the Board & Brush website of each theme. They include fun titles like “Magic and Mystical,” “Life on Wheels,” “Hearts and Flowers,” “Gamer,” “Animals,” “Under the Stars,” “Pizza Party,” “Safari” and more. Sign your child up for both months and they can choose two different themed projects! The young artists get to be hands-on with mixing paints, using stencils, and adding personal touches to signs, planters, clothes hooks, and other décor. Snacks are included in the afternoon.

It’s easy to check out all your options by going to the Board & Brush website. Just click on the calendar, go to April, and pick Wednesday 10, 2024. The April sessions run from April 10 to May 1. The second session starts May 8 through May 29.
