Shop Local at Capital Mall

Did you know the Capital Mall has over 30 stores that are locally owned? This means you can head to the mall for warm, dry shopping and still support local businesses owners! These stores are great places to look if you are needing last minute holiday gifts.

Stocking stuffers and Hanukkah gifts for tweens and teens are easy at places like Koneko Kafe, which has fun kawaii pens, keychains and the ever-popular blind boxes featuring favorites like Hello Kitty. PLAY Live Nation is full of board games, dice and collectible card games for the gamers in your life. Look for the new Lord of the Rings Magic cards – they are a hot item this season.

Gift cards are another great stocking stuffer or Secret Santa present that you know the receiver will love. The gift of a meal out is always nice, so stop by Stack 571, Miso or Northwest Grind for gift cards. Northwest Grind also offers merchandise like beanies and traveler mugs and tumblers that make great gifts too.

On December 16-17, 2023 head to the Capital Mall for the South Sound Artisan Market. You can find all kinds of gift items as this fun pop-up market. Felted nativity scenes, crocheted hair clips, chainmail jewelry, hot sauces, soy candles and tabletop role-playing game accessories are just some of the things you will discover by these local artists.

Find Holiday Favorites at the Capital Mall

The great thing about the mall is everything you need is right there – no driving around, fighting for parking spots! This includes your holiday favorites that you just can’t do without, like See’s Candy and Hickory Farms, both located inside Capital Mall for the holiday season. At Hickory Farms, try the cranberry apple honey spread, it’s delicious! And of course, it’s not Christmas without See’s chocolate Santas!

Have a tradition of giving socks for Christmas? Head to the new Sox Empire inside the Capital Mall. They have all kinds of fun and quirky socks for the whole family – the nutcracker socks are particularly cute and festive!

REI and Dick’s Sporting Goods have items for the outdoor enthusiasts and sport nuts on your list. Help them stay warm and active throughout the winter with a new pair of gloves, a hat or a heated blanket!

Calendars are always a great gift – the receiver will think of you every time they look at it. Check out the Go! Calendars Toys and Games kiosk near Bath & Body Works as well as their store front. While there, you may want to go look at the toys for any last-minute toy-shopping you might have. They have some adorable animal pillows, the always-popular Funko POPs and board games featuring this year’s hottest trends including Barbie Monopoly.

Speaking of games, don’t forget the video gamers in your life! Head to Game Stop for the hottest games – including the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder – and accessories.

If you still can’t think of what to get your last-minute list, don’t fret! A gift card to any store in the mall is a welcome present that gives the receiver the added fun of getting to shop. Invite them to go with you on a shopping trip and your gift becomes an experience and a memory you will both cherish.
