City of Lacey Opens Cooling Center Targeted for Seniors

In response to forecasted high temperatures next week, the City of Lacey, in partnership with Senior Services for South Sound, will open a cooling center targeted for seniors in our community from Tuesday, July 26 – Thursday, July 28, 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. at:

Virgil S. Clarkson Senior Center
6757 Pacific Avenue SE, Lacey, WA 98503

Currently, the Virgil S. Clarkson Senior Center does not have any COVID-19 restriction in place, however, visitors are encouraged to wear a face covering when indoors. The cooling center will operate with the following guidelines:

  • Space is limited.
  • Bring your own water and snacks. There will be limited water and no food service available
    on site.
  • Small mammal pets (such as cats and dogs) are allowed, if crated.
