In response to forecasted high temperatures next week, the City of Lacey, in partnership with Senior Services for South Sound, will open a cooling center targeted for seniors in our community from Tuesday, July 26 – Thursday, July 28, 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. at:
Virgil S. Clarkson Senior Center
6757 Pacific Avenue SE, Lacey, WA 98503
Currently, the Virgil S. Clarkson Senior Center does not have any COVID-19 restriction in place, however, visitors are encouraged to wear a face covering when indoors. The cooling center will operate with the following guidelines:
- Space is limited.
- Bring your own water and snacks. There will be limited water and no food service available
on site. - Small mammal pets (such as cats and dogs) are allowed, if crated.
