Thurston County Night Work Closes Tumwater US 101, I-5 ramps

Late night and early morning drivers using US 101 and I-5 in Tumwater are encouraged to plan extra travel time.

Maintenance crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close two separate ramps in as many nights to make asphalt repairs.

10:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2

  • Southbound US 101 exit to southbound I-5 and southbound US 101 exit to 2nd Avenue Southwest will close. Drivers will detour via northbound I-5.

10:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3

  • Southbound I-5 exit to Trosper Road Southwest will close. Drivers will use alternate routes.
