If you family is like ours, you are likely heading into a weekend filled with soccer games, a baseball tournament, orchestra practice, homework, and (shock!) yard work. The aftermath of Spring Break is behind us and I’ve already lost the feeling of peace and calm that came with a week off. But, we are lucky to have family friendly fun (and some sunny weather) ahead of us.

- Pick up a dahlia tuber at the Evergreen State Dahlia Association’s sale on Saturday.
- Learn about stormwater pond maintenance with the City of Tumwater on Saturday.

- Run for a cause during Saturday’s Race Against Trafficking 5k Run/Walk. Register here.
- Get rid of old documents safely during a shredding event on Saturday at the Better Business Bureau.
- Tour the trees in a canopy tour at Priest Point Park on Saturday.
- Pick up a seedling at the City of Lacey on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Get fresh produce from a local farmer. Sign up for a CSA box this weekend.
- Raise a pint to Top Rung Brewing’s second anniversary on Saturday afternoon.
- Start your summer camp planning with the City of Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation programs.
- Listen to live music on Saturday night at either The Oyster House or Forrey’s Forza.
- Enjoy the Masterworks Choral Ensemble’s 35th anniversary concert at The Washington Center on Saturday evening.
- Celebrate the United Churches of Olympia’s 100th anniversary with a special service on Sunday.
- Participate in Ainsley’s Angels Road Race on Sunday morning beginning at the Hands On Children’s Museum.
- Hear Chris Ballew perform as Caspar Babypants on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Tumwater High School. More information can be found here.
