Contractors are beginning the demolition of the former GHB and Little Da Nang buildings in downtown Olympia.
These buildings are on the southwest corner of 4th and Water Street.
Demolition and restoration of the site is expected to take two weeks. The City of Olympia does not expect any traffic or noise disruptions due to the demolition.
The lot is part of an ongoing Community Renewal Area. The City of Olympia is in the process of soliciting development proposals. In the short term, the vacant space will be a gravel lot.
