Jonah Perez recently served as a page for Sen. Karen Fraser, D-Olympia, with the Washington State Senate in Olympia.
“It has been my pleasure to sponsor Jonah,” said Fraser. “It is always nice to see the next generation show an interest in the workings of their state government.”
Perez first heard of the page program from one of his teachers and knew he wanted to pursue the program when his class took a legislative tour.
“Doing the page program is a great way to learn more about the government,” Perez said. “You also get to meet people form different parts of the state.”
Perez, 15, lives in Olympia and is a freshman at North Thurston High School. .
