Olympia Artesian WellHelp us name the park at the Artesian Well Site!

The Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Department and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) need your help to officially name the Artesian Court park site. This newly-designated .2 acre park is located at 415 4th Avenue E in the heart of Downtown. The park boundary includes the Olympia Artesian Well. This park has been referred to as “Artesian Court” during the planning and design phase. Phase I development will begin in spring 2014 with an opening celebration in early May.

Submittals are REQUIRED to include the following information:

  • park name suggestion
  • why this is the best name for the park
  • your name and contact information

Names must be submitted by 5:00pm on August 26 and be based on the guidelines set forth in the Olympia Municipal Code 12.62.050.  Names will be accepted by email at or mail/drop at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, Olympia 98501.

PRAC will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 6:00 pm at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, Room 200. The public is encouraged to attend and present their name recommendation to the Committee. For special accommodations, please contact Tammy LeDoux at 360.753.8053.
