Saturday July 6th would mark Mid-Season Championship Night presented by the great people at Whitney’s Auto Group.  A full card of action was on hand which included the Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modifieds, Cut Rate Auto Parts Street Stocks, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, and Hornets.  Once the night was all said and done a wonder Fireworks Spectacular would take place.

Zack Simpson of Hoquiam became the newest victor in the Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modified division.  Simpson would take the lead from the J&F Automotive/Bayview Ready-Mix #8 Sidebiter of Jeff Foster, from McCleary, on lap fourteen.  Simpson would lead the rest of the distance and visit victory lane for the first time in his Jacknut Apparel/CNK Machine #12 Shaw.

Scott Miller of Shelton was second in the Blue Bear Park/Blondie’s Restaurant #26 Shaw followed by the Sweatman Trucking/Ewing Engines/D&D Dyno #11 Shaw of Cosmopolis’ Tom Sweatman in third.  The balance of the top five would consist of Jeff Foster in fourth and Rayun McMichael of Vancouver in fifth chauffeuring his Jacobus Carstar/Discount Race Car Parts #05 Hurricane.

Jason Tole of Hoquiam is on a terror in the Cut Rate Auto Parts Street Stocks this season.  Last Saturday the driver of the Western Washington Construction/Crowell Brothers Automotive #34 Camaro would earn his fifth win of the season.  After taking the lead from fellow Hoquiam pilot, Jack Parshall on lap seven, Tole would lead the rest of the distance with a few challenges from Parshall.

The Jacknut Apparel/CNK Machine #9 Camaro of Parshall would finish a respectable second while third place went to Cory Sweatman from Cosmopolis in his Sweatman Trucking/D&D Dyno #11 mount.  Crossing the line in fourth was Wishkah’s Don Briggs Jr. in the Custom Fiberglass/Conger Racing #13XXX entry while earning fifth was the Eddie’s Automotive/Fusion Graphix #97 Malibu of Eddie Blood from Olympia.

Chase Goetz continues to show his dominance in the USAC Ford Focus ranks.  The Snohomish teenager would earn his fourth victory in five starts piloting his Great Western Transport/Elma #91 machine.  Goetz would lead the entire distance of the feature.

McCleary’s Garrett Thomas was second in his Olson Landscaping/Martelli Distributing #14 entry followed by Jeremy Miller of Elma in the MASCO Petroleum #44.  Driving the Don Emory owner #11E young Ariel Biggs of Ocasta would score a fourth place finish followed by the #66 of Tyler Anderson from Everett.

Jeff Daniel of Ocean Shores would procure his second win of the season for the  Pure Clothing/John L. Scott Real Estate/John’s Plumbing #14 team.  It marked his first victory since picking up his last win in the Season Opener back in April.

The #0 of Zach Dalrymple was the second place finisher followed by Chad Norton of Tenino in his Free Junk Removal #75 mount.  The Cranberry Road Winery/Westport Brewing Company #25 of Ocasta’s Chris Pugsley was fourth and earning fifth would be Jeserae Norton of Tenino in her Centralia Pet Resort #27.
