Vacancies For Lacey City Council Advisory Boards And Commission

The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for three vacancies on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, and one vacancy on the Historical Commission.

The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is charged with the responsibility of annually recommending to the Lacey City Council how to best use lodging tax revenues. The Committee is comprised of five Board members who serve three year staggered terms. By statute, one member must be an elected official of the city, two representatives of businesses that collect the lodging tax, and two representatives involved in activities authorized to be funded by lodging tax revenues. Two vacancies are for representatives of businesses that collect lodging tax, and one vacancy is for a representative involved in activities funded by lodging tax revenues.

The Lacey Historical Commission provides leadership in historic preservation and developing information concerning the historical significance of the local Lacey area. The Historical Commission meets the 1st Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Historical Commission members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants for this vacancy can be either a resident of the City of Lacey or reside within Lacey’s Urban Growth Area.
