The Washington Center for the Performing Arts kicks off the Comedy in the Box series with a special night on the Main Stage! Come down Thursday November 15th at 7:30pm for up-and-coming comedians doing their best to impress a panel of local celebrity judges!
The 33rd Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition started Thursday November 1, 2012 at Naked City Brewing & Tap House in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood, and continues until a winner is crowned on Sunday, November 25 at The Comedy Underground in Seattle.
All-comedy record label Uproar Entertainment <http://uproarcomedycd.com> has just announced that they will offer a recording contract with a $1000 cash advance to the winner of the 2012 Seattle International Comedy Competition, in addition to the winner’s $5000 cash prize from the Competition.
Uproar’s roster includes national stars like Brian Regan, John Pinnette and the National Lampoon catalogue. In the last several years they have discovered new talent at the Seattle Comedy Competition, recording and releasing best-selling comedy albums by Competition winner Sean Kent and finalist Tyler Boeh, among others.
