Need art supplies? Searching for a great gift for yourself or a friend? Check out the artistic wares and whatnots of over 70 area artists! The Artists’ Garage Sale is a unique event that gives Olympia’s artists and art lovers the opportunity to meet, shop, and connect.

The event is just $1 and additional donations to POSSCA will be gladly accepted at the door. All proceeds from the Artists’ Garage Sale will benefit POSSCA’s mission to support the arts, including our CAPS program which provides musical instruments to students who otherwise couldn’t participate in school music programs. POSSCA also awards annual arts scholarships to high school seniors pursuing a college arts education.
Even if you aren’t able to attend this fabulous event, a POSSCA donation is an easy way to make a big difference to a kid whose family can’t afford a musical instrument, or a high school senior who wants to study the arts at college.

State and federal funding for arts in the schools is decreasing every year. Art programs often fall by the wayside as school districts struggle to find money for the basics.

- A donation of just $10 can help refurbish a musical instrument for a child whose family can’t afford a music program.
- A $50 donation could be that final push that allows us to offer an additional POSSCA arts scholarship.
ABOUT POSSCA
POSSCA has been an integral part of the Olympia area’s arts, culture, and education
system for decades. POSSCA remains committed to providing access to the arts through scholarships, instrument donation, and raising funds for community art and cultural projects.
Throughout POSSCA’s history, its board members and supporters have worked together to develop programs aimed at promoting arts education, both in the classroom and in the community. The organization has developed partnerships with regional organizations such as the Friends of the Olympia Library for the Regional Juried Art Show and Rotary for CAPS, an ongoing program that acquires and repairs instruments for distribution to area schools.
The arts are an essential part of any community’s ability to thrive and flourish. With the Artists’ Garage Sale and other projects and programs in the works, POSSCA is looking toward the future with renewed vigor. Join us for parties, concerts, and community arts events all working toward a single goal: magnifying the love and stewardship of arts and artists, and building a stronger, healthier, more sustainable community as a result.
