If you visit locations in Olympia’s business zones or have lived in the area for any length of time, you’ve seen Ira Coyne’s hand painted signs. After Coyne’s upcoming talk, you’re sure to begin recognizing them on sight.

Recently featured in the documentary film and book, “Sign Painters,” Olympia-based Coyne believes that “handmade objects are the roots of all forms of love and we should give them to each other more often.” Coyne’s website is http://iracoyne.com.  Coyne’s presentation is the second of a four-part series leading up to Olympia’s Spring Arts Walk. Local artists Aisha Harrison (sculptor), and Anna McKee (painter) will speak at the library on the next two Wednesdays.

The Olympia Timberland Library is located at 313 8th Avenue SE. For more information, contact the library at (360) 352-0595 or visit www.TRL.org.
