Seattle-based photographer Alice Wheeler will share imagery and commentary from her new book “Outcasts and Innocents: Photographs of the Northwest,” published by Minor Matter books. Internationally known for photographs of Nirvana, Bikini Kill, and the punk-feminist bands of Riot Grrrl, Wheeler has always been drawn to people, particularly women, who possess their own definitions of strength and beauty, qualities she also draws out of charged locations in the Northwest landscape. Copies will be available for purchase. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lacey Timberland Library.
