A Celebration of the Steh Chass otherwise known as Budd Inlet and the lower Deschutes Watershed, its First People and Estuary Restoration Possibilities. A community environmental, cultural, arts, and music festival, all wrapped into one!
Family friendly with kids activities, performances, amazing speakers, a fashion show, and ceremony by Medicine Creek Treaty canoe families. Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas headlined that evening at 7 pm. You won’t want to miss it! More info on event FB page “Festival of the Steh-Chass”.

The Steh-Chass was once a thriving estuary revered and used by ancestors of the Squaxin Island Tribe. Today we celebrate this history and advocate for the return of the the estuary in Olympia as a site of cultural importance and critically needed habitat.
