Looking for an inexpensive date night that allows you to talk and really get to know the person? Or maybe a family outing that doesn’t break the budget? All you need is some traveler mugs full of hot chocolate or mochas, some holiday cookies, a killer holiday playlist and your car. Driving around to look at Christmas lights is one of my favorite holiday traditions and I hope you enjoy it too. Here is the guide to 2023 Christmas lights in Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

Olympia

Open now through January 1

Candy Cane Lane is on for the season and will have the lights lit from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. You are allowed to walk or drive around the circle in order to see everything. From Snoopy to a naivety, they have a ton of lit-up characters for you to enjoy. New this year is a photo area for you to capture a lasting memory with your family or date. Donations are accepted for the Thurston County Food Bank in a coordinated effort with the Griffin Fire Department. The drop box should be at the end of the driveway, but if it’s missing they say to just leave the items on the porch.
