Give Local 2023 Campaign Coming Soon

Goal: $15,000 to Meet Student Needs

What: TOGETHER! is excited to announce we’re participating in The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound’s crowdfunding campaign called Give Local, for the 5th year in a row. With YOUR help, we aim to raise $15,000+ for our Swift Fund, named in honor of our founding Executive Director, Earlyse Swift. The Swift Fund is expressly for the purpose of meeting emergency student and family needs and/or emergent community needs swiftly.

Why: Every week students & families we serve come to us for help with housing (to prevent eviction or get rehoused rapidly), bills, car repairs to get to school or work, food, hygiene products, or other basics. We partner to leverage all available resources, but still can’t meet the needs. That’s where donors come in! Donations to our revolving Swift Fund help us match local businesses, corporate, and foundation dollars and quickly deploy rental assistance to landlords, buy students shoes or a coat, and so much more!
How:

  • Become a Champion! As a Champion you make your own easy-to-create fundraising page (simple set up instructions and link will be shared once Community Foundation sets things up!)
  • Share info about this within your networks via email, word of mouth, etc.
  • To make it easy, TOGETHER! will be sharing info about our Give Local campaign in ALL the formats (email, Facebook, Instagram), so if you haven’t already, like/follow us and stay tuned, and reshare social media posts as they come out!
  • Like/comment/share forthcoming Facebook and Instagram posts, & invite friends/family!

When:  Early Giving is Monday, October 30 – Sunday, November 5. This is the time when you can start signing up as a Champion for your Story. Then, Give Local runs November 6 – 17.

Community Foundation covers all fees so every dollar donated goes directly to us.

  • We’ll be eligible for thousands in bonus funds at the end, bringing our total raised even higher. Bonus funds are a portion of the $100,000 bonus fund, calculated based on the percentage of funds TOGETHER! raised out of the total raised by all organizations.
