North Thurston High School (5-2, 3A SSC 4-2) traveled to Timberline (0-3, 3A SSC 0-2) for a girls swimming 3A WIAA match Tuesday, October 18, 2022. North Thurston won the meet 113-68, which also included diving. Timberline hosted the event and celebrated “Senior Night” for the three seniors graduating this spring.
Keira Losee, from North Thurston, earned a qualifying birth at Districts in the 100-meter butterfly. There were also strong efforts from Peyton Stegall in the 100-meter breaststroke and Mikhaila Leo and Lydia Schmitt in the relays.
The 2022-23 WCD 3A Girls Swim and Dive Championships District Meet is held this year at Mount Tahoma High School Aquatic Center, October 28-29. The 3A/4A State Tournament for girls swimming is hosted beginning November 10 at King County Aquatic Center.
