On February 2, 2022 the Lacey South Sound Chamber will be celebrating and recognizing local businesses and organizations for their achievements, community contributions, and milestones at their annual Business Awards luncheon. Seven awards will be given out at the Indian Summer Golf & Country Club starting at 11:30 a.m.
The Chamber and Indian Summer Golf & Country Club are working closely together to make sure that CDC guidelines and health and safety measures are followed so everyone can feel comfortable and safe during the ceremony. Tables and guests will be limited, masks are required when not eating, there will be sanitizers on site, and social distancing measures will be in place.
“The business community has been through a lot during this pandemic and we think it is more important than ever to show appreciation and recognition of that.” Said Blake Knoblauch, Executive Director. “We are committed to following the CDC’s guidelines so everyone can feel safe and celebrated.”
Two new awards will be given out this year, the Got Grit Award and the Legacy Award. The Got Grit Award recognizes an area non-profit organization, government agency, business, or academic institution who in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic has had to pivot and innovate their practices, adapt to change in their industry, and has shown resiliency and the Legacy Award Honors a business that has been open for over 20 years and serves as a cornerstone to the Lacey Community and other businesses within it. This business has been a leader in industry standards and has had the foresight and commitment to be a pioneer, bringing the rest of the business community along with them. The Lacey South Sound Chamber and the City of Lacey have partnered together to give out the Legacy Award and an updated version of the Entrepreneur Award.
“The City of Lacey has a long-standing tradition of creating and cultivating a business-friendly community. We are excited to partner with them in recognizing employers that have been a pillar of our economy for many many years and in recognizing the ones who are continuing to build and expand the business community.” Said Knoblauch.
