Olympia Federal Savings (OlyFed) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kristina Ware to Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ware joined OlyFed in 2015 as the bank’s Accountant and was quickly promoted to Vice President and Controller in 2016.

Ware, has her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting and has 15 years of financial management experience working in the banking industry. Recognized as a leader within the organization, Ware has been acknowledged with several awards for her commitment to excellence in customer service and in supporting the needs of the local community. In fact, Ware is a board member with The Salvation Army of Olympia and regularly volunteers with a number of local nonprofit events and activities.

“Kristina is a talented professional who continuously strives to make OlyFed and our community better,” Lori Drummond, President & CEO said. “I am excited to see Kristina elevated to this new role on our executive team as she brings with her a great deal of knowledge and experience when it comes to banking finance, operations, investments, and analysis.”

As part of this change in leadership, Larry Hueth, will transition from SVP/CFO to a new executive management role within the Association. Hueth, who has more than 35 years of banking and finance experience will provide senior-level insight and support to assist with OlyFed’s strategic growth initiatives and business planning efforts.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Larry’s caliber of gifts and skill here at OlyFed,” Josh Deck, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer said. “Larry has played a key role in our success over the past couple of years and we want to be sure and fully utilize his expertise and wisdom. We’re excited for what the future holds with Kristina in her new role and with Larry’s guidance in many areas as we approach the next chapter in OlyFed’s 115 years of mutual banking.”
