Gibboney Appoints Parks as Capital Investments, Planning & Environmental Programs Director

Lisa Parks has assumed the role of Capital Investments, Planning & Environmental Programs Director for the Port of Olympia according to Sam Gibboney, Executive Director.

Parks brings the Port a strong background in overall port operations, planning, and environmental programs.

Prior to joining the Port of Olympia, Parks worked as a senior planner with Maul Foster Alongi, in Seattle, and served as Executive Director of the Port of Douglas County for nine years, in Wenatchee, Washington.

Parks earned her Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington.

“Lisa has proven to have leadership ability, integrity, and planning skills throughout her tenure within the Port industry as well as her work with Maul Foster Alongi,” said Sam Gibboney, Executive Director of the Port of Olympia. “We welcome her to the Port of Olympia and look forward to the great things she will accomplish at the helm of the Port’s Capital Investments, Planning, and Environmental programs.”
