Have you noticed something new at Isthmus Park? It’s the City’s newest recreational amenity – a pump track! A pump track is a continuous loop of bumps and banked turns that you ride not by pedaling, but by “pumping.” From mountain bikes to bmx’s, kids bikes, scooters and skateboards, a pump track is a playground for all ages and abilities. Bring your helmet and non-motorized wheels on down and join the fun. The pump track is seasonal and will be located at Isthmus Park at least through the summer, before the next season of Oly on Ice returns.

While the pump track is already open to the public, we hope you’ll join us for the official Grand Opening on Thursday, March 21, at 4:00 p.m. We will have live entertainment, food, demos and giveaways, sponsored by Joyride Bikes, Intercity Transit’s Walk N Roll program, Norco bicycles, and Odyssey. Olympia’s Poet Laureate, Sady Sparks, will dedicate the space with a poetry reading and the Artesian Rumble Arkestra will perform live music. Hope to see you all there!
