The Timothy Team is a local helps organization that sets up around 400 families a year for those who have suffered a catastrophic event. We go even further than that and actually mentor those folks until they are strong enough to make it on their own should they permit us to. We are all volunteered staffed, all private donation funded, and 100% of all that is donated goes right back into the community. We are tax deductible for donations, and we pick up. We are also referral only. We take referrals from over 60 local helps agencies and many of our churches. Timothy Team is a registered 501 ©3, and our EIN# is 208388746. We are also registered with the Wash. St. Combined Fund Drive, and our number there is 1479477.
On Friday November 11th starting at 2:00pm we will be having a “fill the truck drive” and silent auction at the historic Black Lake Grange right next to the new Black Lake Fire Dept.. From 4:00pm to 6:00pm we will be having our awesome soup cook-off. It will be a suggested donation, and 5 men who have been bantering for years over who is the best cook will be put to the test. If nothing else, come by and vote for your favorite soup. The silent auction will close at 7:00pm.
This fundraiser is very important to our community. About 2 years ago, the Union Gospel Mission and Barb and Friends quit doing furniture. Now there are a few other organizations that provide furnishings, but none to the scale that Timothy Team does. We make a huge impact on the health and welfare of our community, and now we need your help to keep going. Please attend our fundraiser and support those who support you. If you can’t make it to the fundraiser, we schedule for the pick-up of donations of furniture, other household items, food, and hygiene products every Saturday.
