Saturday September 24th:                        Celebrate our prized local ecosystems at the Nisqually Watershed Festival in the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge from 10AM-4PM. The event is entirely free, with fun activities, food, and an intriguing and informative lecture series. There will be free parking and shuttle service at River Ridge High School (350 River Ridge Drive SE Lacey, WA) for the festival.

 

 

Saturday September 24th:                        What better way to welcome autumn than with a trip to a good old pumpkin patch? The Lattin’s Country Cider Mill & Farm (9402 Rich Road SE Olympia, WA 98501) is hosting an Apple Festival and Pumpkin Patch every weekend from this Saturday until October 30th. Enjoy fresh crisp apples, tractor rides through the pumpkin fields, a maze, clowns and more! Plus there will be a variety of Lattin’s best apple products available for purchase such as apple butter, caramel apples, and their famous apple fritters! This event is entirely free! All you have to pay is just $2 for parking!

Saturday September 24th:                       What could be better than enjoying delicious food for a good cause? Join the Capitol Land Trust for an incredible all-you-can eat shellfish feast and fundraiser on the gorgeous Little Skookum Inlet (2264 SE Lynch Road Shelton, WA 98584).  From 1PM to 4PM, enjoy delicious curry mussels, barbeque oysters, clam sauté, raw oysters on the half shell, fresh egg rolls and more of the best local shellfish around! All of which will be brought to you by Taylor Shellfish and the famed local chef, Xinh Dwelley of Xinh’s Clam and Oyster House.

Reservations are required for this event and cost $45 per person. Proceeds from this event will go towards benefitting the work of the Capitol Land Trust.
