The annual free living history celebration on the first Sunday of October at the Tumwater Falls Park (Oct. 2, 2016) is a wonderful free event for the entire family. It’s organized by the Tumwater Historical Association and hosted by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation. This year local history groups from all around Thurston County will be there with their displays and hands-on activities portraying the 25 year period from 1825 to 1850.
Beginning at 10:00 a.m. and running through 4:00 p.m., the celebration this year includes live pioneer music from Phil & Vivian Williams, a noon Riverwalk Tour with Don Trosper, food, fun, fellowship and the salmon run is in full swing at the fish ladders along the Deschutes. There’s something for all ages and rain or shine a great time will be had by all.
