Dancer and performer Sheetal Gandhi will be featured for the spring Artist & Lecture Series event. The performance will take place on Thursday, May 19.
Gandhi is a singer, dancer, choreographer, actor and director whose career has spanned genres and disciplines. Gandhi brings her acclaimed solo dance-theater work, Bahu-Beti-Biwi (Daughter-in-law, Daughter, Wife), which wraps North Indian music traditions and family characters into a contemporary tour de force that glides between humorous portraiture and active resistance.
Tickets are $10 for general admission, (which includes a $3 Washington Center service fee), and the event is free to all SPSCC staff, faculty and students. Tickets will be available online at OlyTix.org or by calling The Washington Center for the Performing Arts box office at (360) 753-8586.
