Join us for an afternoon of music with vocal group Wageeyah i chx yab, Thunderbirds Raised Her. Thunderbirds Raised Her are sisters Billie Lynn Jefferson, Danielle Kili Kennedy-Jefferson, and Katherine Val Renee Kennedy-Jefferson, who come from the Lummi Nation and are of Assiniboine Sioux and Coast Salish descent. Singing together since childhood, Thunderbirds Raised Her write and perform contemporary Native American songs. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, featuring There There by Tommy Orange and Native Voices, focused on Indigenous Peoples history and culture.
