Randy Francom will present a program about the Lewis and Clark expedition, which overwintered at today’s Fort Clatsop site near Astoria, at History Talks at the Schmidt House. Francom, an interpretive park ranger, will appear in costume and will offer an engaging talk, complete with artifacts representing the early 1800s.

Randy Francom, a resident of Lacey, is part of a team of interpretive park rangers at Fort Clatsop near Astoria, Oregon. Francom — retired from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services –spends his summers at Fort Clatsop.
