The documentary “The Boys of ’36,” details the true story of nine working-class young men from the University of Washington who overcame tremendous hardships to beat not only the Ivy League teams of the East coast but Adolf Hitler’s elite German rowers. Following the movie will be a discussion of “The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Summer Olympic Games in Berlin” by Daniel James Brown. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Lacey Timberland Library. This is part of Timberland Reads Together, an annual Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.
