I’m excited to see how they do the rest of the season and how they end their gymnastics journey.”
NTPS Combined Team swept the beam results with scores from Sadie McKune (9.0), Smantha Ellis (8.4), and Breanne Brooks (8.3).
NTPS team member Sadie McKune from North Thurston High School won the all-around score with 36.5 points followed by Samantha Ellis (33.85 – River Ridge). Malina Jordan from Sumner scored third in the all-around with 33.25 points.
Capital High School hosted the event and celebrated its seniors. Head coach Jessica Crooker was excited to see all of the athletes compete on the night. “This sport is a unique blend of individuality and teamwork as the girls earn scores that contribute to themselves and the team,” Crooker stated. “Capital has a very strong foundation. They are constantly cheering each other on and helping one another strengthen their skills and push themselves in new ways. I look forward to seeing what the remainder of the season holds. It’s so fun watching the gymnastics community continue to expand and grow.”
