The Lacey City Council seeks 30 volunteers to provide community-based direction regarding homeless-response strategies in Lacey. The Council is looking for City of Lacey residents to serve on the committee; however, they will also consider residents of Lacey’s Urban Growth Area. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m., Monday, June 22.

The committee’s year-long effort will gauge community understanding and support, examine current approaches, and develop new strategies on local homeless issues. Additionally, the committee will contribute valuable input for consideration when the Council participates in regional policy discussions.

The City of Lacey supports varied and diverse representation on all boards, committees, and commissions. The Community-Based Committee on Homelessness will reflect a spectrum of experience and perspective.
