The Polar Express

When hunting for holiday movies in Olympia this season, you’d be remiss if you don’t attend possibly one of the only showings of “The Polar Express” in Thurston County. The Bolshoi Ballet: The Nutcracker

A classic holiday favorite, “The Nutcracker,” will play at the Century Olympia theater this December one day only. For those unfamiliar with the story, the 1892 play centers around a young child who becomes friends with a nutcracker on Christmas Eve and together they battle the Mouse King. Though each reincarnation of the play is different, this is the main storyline. The Nutcracker is a ballet performance that is a sight to behold on the big screen for families and theatergoers in Thurston County.
