Thurston County Traffic: Night work Planned for Southbound I-5 Between Tumwater and Grand Mound

Late night and early morning travelers will see four consecutive nights of southbound I-5 lane and ramp closures.

Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will make asphalt repairs along several sections of southbound I-5 between Tumwater and Grand Mound.

Repair Schedule

10 p.m. Monday, June 17 to 5 a.m. the following day

  • Southbound I-5 approaching 93rd Avenue Southwest will be reduced to one lane.
  • Southbound I-5 exit to 93rd Avenue Southwest/State Route 121 will close. Drivers can detour via Maytown exit 95 and northbound I-5.

10 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 to 5 a.m. the following day

  • Southbound I-5 will approaching Maytown will be reduced to one lane.
  • Southbound I-5 exit 95 to Maytown will close. Drivers will use alternate routes.

10 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 to 5 a.m. the following day

  • Southbound I-5 right lane closure at milepost 87.5 after the US 12/Grand Mound interchange.

10 p.m. Thursday, June 19 to 5 a.m. the following day

  • Southbound I-5 approaching US 12/Grand Mound exit 88 will be reduced to one lane.
  • Southbound I-5 exit 88 to US 12/Ground Mound will close. Drivers will detour via Harrison Avenue exit 82 and northbound I-5.
